Rule 122
Treatment expenses

(1) The permanent teacher will be given medical expenses as follows, based on the salary earned by him throughout the service period:-
(a) Salary amount equivalent to twelve months to secondary school teachers,
(b) Eighteen months worth of salary to lower secondary school teachers,
(c) Salary amount equal to twenty-one months for primary school teachers.
(2) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-rule (1), primary and lower secondary level teachers with the same starting salary scale as secondary level teachers shall receive the same treatment expenses as lower secondary level teachers and primary level teachers with the same starting salary scale as lower secondary level teachers. .
(3) If a teacher or a member of his family falls ill, the following medical expenses will be provided without increasing the amount to be received as per sub-rule (1):-
(a) Fees incurred for examination with an approved physician for the treatment of disease and the cost of purchasing medicine according to the prescribed prescription,
(b) Billed expenses during admission and treatment in health institutions,
(c) Expenditure according to the bill incurred for all types of chirfar (surgical operation) except plastic surgery.
(4) When a teacher with less than 20 years of service is discharged for medical treatment, the period of 20 years will be considered as the full period of service and the treatment expenses will be paid in accordance with this rule in proportion to the service period of the teacher.
(5) In the event that the teacher is dismissed from the service due to being disqualified for future educational employment, when the teacher is separated from the service for any other reason, the teacher will be entitled to receive the remaining amount as a lump sum, whether or not some of the treatment expenses received during the service period are to be taken according to this rule. . However, the teacher who separated from the service to receive pension will be entitled to take a lump sum of the remaining amount to cover the medical expenses. (6) According to this rule, to the teacher who is admitted to a health institution or has to go abroad for treatmentIn one financial year, if the amount of medical expenses is given at one time or several times, the period of 20 years is considered to be the full period of service, only the amount of one year's maintenance can be given.
(7) According to this rule, the district education office shall keep a record of the treatment expenses received by the teacher and send the details to the respective school, teacher's library and directorate for record keeping.
(8) Departmental action will be taken against the teacher who claims or receives treatment expenses in accordance with this rule by submitting false claims.
